BCCC Safe Cycling Classes |
This class is designed to teach adult cyclists how to ride a bicycle with confidence and competence for pleasure, utility and sport under various roadway, climate, terrain, and traffic conditions. The class is suitable for new cyclists as well as more experienced cyclists who wish to improve their safe cycling skills. The class covers the following 3 groups: 1. The Basics: The Bicycle, Maintenance, Equipment & Clothing, and Bicycle Handling. 2. Bicycling in Traffic: Your Role in Traffic, Avoiding Crashes, and Hazard Avoidance. 3. Enjoying the Ride: Technique, Nutrition & Hydration, Maneuver Drills, and Road Test. |
